What a night, made 100 times better by winning! The glittering ceremony, at the Grosvenor House Hotel, is one of the best nights in the hairdressing calendar and this one didn’t disappoint.
As you entered the soft carpeted glamorous walk way, you could feel the tension and excitement of this great event. The room looked amazing as only the creative team at L’Oreal could present a venue for such an exciting event. The evening got better and became a night to remember for Emma Browning and the Velvet Rooms team, as she was crowned winner of the L’Oreal Young Colourist 2014(Southern). Hosted by TV star Caroline Flack, the awards also celebrated the main event being the L’Oreal Colour Trophy 2014, the best of men’s and afro looks, but for us the evening was all about the crowning of the Young Colourist 2014. Ireland’s Dylan Bradshaw kicked of the evening, wowing the audience with his new editorial collection while Richard Ward, TONI&GUY, Charles Worthington, Rush and Trevor Sorbie all wowed with their cat-walk inspired looks. Leanne Humphries owner of the Velvet Rooms said “We are ecstatic at the opportunity to be show casing Emma’s creative talents on such a world class platform”
Emma now has a whirl wind year under the wing of the creative colour team at L’Oreal, giving her money can’t buy experience. Watch this space to follow Emma and keep updated on her exciting career in this creative industry.
