Last week we were lucky enough to have our first training session of the year with no other than Simon Shaw, aka head L’Oreal mentor!
To give you some back ground and so you understand what a big deal this was to have Simon visit VR I thought I better give you a brief run down on how cool this guy is.
Simon co-founded and was director of the international award-winning salon group, Haringtons. He has spent 40 years in the industry and over 30 years creating salon culture. In 2009 Simon launched his own education programme, and is running courses for L’Oréal, individual salons as well as being a mentor for L’Oréal’s ID Artist programme, he has impeccable credentials to advise on all elements of business, from the nitty-gritty of financial issues, motivating staff, to creative work. Simon passionately believes that people are the key to successful business.
So with a pre session task to research a team we admire, the topic was set and the afternoon sailed by.
I don’t want divulge to much information about our team building session but needless to say we came away feeling very proud of ourselves and truly understanding what being part of a successful team means.
There was a lot of love at the Velvet Rooms that afternoon!
Can’t wait for the next training session.
Thank you Simon.
